Procurement of suction unit and sterilizer
Initial situation
At the Hôpital Confessionnel de Djamane Mbarissou, surgeries were performed without suction devices. This significantly complicates some operations and increases the complication rate. Instruments were sterilized over a flame, which also increases the infection rate during procedures.
Project
The hospital received support in purchasing a suction unit and a sterilizer. The devices were bought in the capital and then transported to the hospital. The operating instructions were translated from English to French. The devices are in daily use.
