Initial situation

Since its founding in 2009, the El Jire Rapha Clinic in Moundou has always treated all patients regardless of origin, ethnicity, or social status. Many patients are among the poorest and cannot afford shelter, sufficient food for their families, let alone medical treatment. Therefore, after years of investing in improved infrastructure, in June 2018 we also began subsidizing patient treatment for the poorest.

From June 2018 to June 2019, a total of 1,363 treatments were partially or fully subsidized. A total of CHF 33,850 was invested.

We expect that a total of around 1,000 patients have directly benefited from these measures.
