Initial situation
The clinic in Moundou had a poor electrical supply, relying on a low-powered gasoline generator. Many pieces of equipment could only be used individually, and the power sometimes cut out during operations. A new generator had to be purchased as a prerequisite for renovating the electrical installations.
Project
A used 15 kV generator with few operating hours was purchased in the capital by Hansruedi Zurbrügg. He transported it to Koyom, where he carried out minor repairs and maintenance. He then brought the generator to Moundou and installed it. Since then, this generator has been supplying power to the surgical department of the El Jire Rapha Clinic, which has a higher electricity consumption than the medical department.
