Renovation of the operating room
El Jire Rapha
Initial situation
Under pressure from the Ministry of Health, the operating room at the El Jire Rapha Clinic had to be modernized. Like most operating rooms in the country, it did not meet the required standards. Several things, including the lighting and the operating table, were found to be defective.
Project
The El Jire Rapha Clinic received support for the purchase of an operating light and an operating table from Kenya. Furthermore, a new surgical department was built, giving the clinic the most modern operating complex in the south of the country. The construction was financed with the help of the American organization Luke Society, the clinic's own capital, and the support of the Swiss-Chadian Friendship Association.
