Initial situation

The electrical installations in the medical ward of the clinic in Moundou offered little safety and frequently led to power outages or malfunctions in various devices. Due to a lack of funds, some sanitary facilities, such as sinks and a washing area, were missing.

Project

A new 6.5 kV generator was purchased, and a suitable protective building was constructed for it. All electrical installations were renewed where necessary, and the system was equipped with fuses.

The delivery room was tiled, and a washbasin was installed. Another washbasin was installed in the examination room, and a washing area for staff and surgical gowns was built. Then, for hygienic reasons, all examination tables were reupholstered in synthetic leather. Finally, an office for the head nurse was completed; its construction had begun in 2013 but had been interrupted due to a lack of resources.
